One has only to think about the Black Death that jostled the West, the outbreak of Cholera that devastated Asia before attacking Russia and Europe, not to mention the famous Spanish flu which has nothing to do with Spain. But what are the lessons to take from the previous pandemics that have been helpful to managing the current crisis? And is the role of historians limited to that of giving Quebec history classes in our primary and secondary schools?
